This production of Ibsen's masterpiece is inspired by the artist Edvard Munch's extraordinary stage designs for the play previously seen only once, in Berlin in 1906.
'Ghosts' is co-produced with the English Touring Theatre, which Stephen Unwin founded 20 years ago. It will also mark his swan song as Artistic Director of the Rose.
Stephen Unwin has directed six productions of Ibsen, to tremendous acclaim, including an award-winning Hedda Gabler seen at the Donmar in 1998, and The Lady from the Sea with Joely Richardson at the Rose in Spring 2012.
