Bluewater’s Winter Wonderland is Back and More Festive Than Ever
Bluewater’s Winter Wonderland returns for the 2013 Christmas season with all new festive experiences for the whole family, including the new enchanted Santa’s Grotto and ice rink. The magic comes to life from Friday 29th November until 5th January 2013 promising a dazzling outing for kids of all ages.
Held in Bluewater’s unique events venue Glow, Winter Wonderland is delivered in partnership with Mercury Events and will bring the magic of Christmas to life. Children from two years old can experience a world of winter fun with the revamped Santa’s Grotto, stunning real ice rink, 40-metre snow slide and stacks of traditional rides and amusements.
At the new Santa’s Grotto, Father Christmas and his helpers will be hard at work in the stunning Ice Palace, ready to meet families all the way up until Christmas Eve. After meeting Santa and having their photo taken, children will also be given a present to take home and put under the tree.
To add to the experience, visitors will be able to strap on their skates and take a turn on the Real Ice Rink under the shadow of the visually spectacular Ice Palace. Guests can escape the grey English weather and be transported to this magical paradise, with the added warmth and comfort of being indoors. For an extra sprinkling of yuletide spirit, visitors can skate beneath the stars to a festive soundtrack.
The fun certainly doesn’t stop there, race down the 40 Meter Snow Slide that runs from the upper level of Bluewater to the ground floor in an inflatable snow tube. For the little ones, there will also be a smaller slide inside Glow as well as an ice climbing wall, a kiddie ski play area, high ropes course, two carousels, a 4D Christmas Cinema and a host of other attractions.
Visitors will also find an array of delicious eats and treats including toffee apples, popcorn, candyfloss, ice cream, traditional sweets, real hot chocolate and of course plenty of mulled wine for the grownups.
