Awkwardly sandwiched like a turkey bloomer between the hectic family magic of Christmas and the debauched all-night antics of New Years, the final week of December can be a bizarre, up-in-the-air time of year. Never ones to pass up such a chaotic opportunity, we at NVWLS are excited to announce that we're pouncing on such festive uncertainty to bring you the much-anticipated follow-up to our hugely successful launch party back in October - it's the NVWLS Christmas Special! Following hot on the heels of a massive few months that's seen the release of three more sublime free EPs, another four stellar additions to the Guest Mix Series and the birth of the NVWLS Soundsytem, we're absolutely buzzing to reveal that we'll be returning to our beloved Brixton's Plan B Basement on December 27th for another round of up-tempo, all-embracing, consonant-heavy fun. This time round, we've invited with us an especially curated trio of acts not only embody every value NVWLS holds dear, but also know exactly what musical steps to take to help whip up the perfect Christmas party atmosphere. So save the date, pull on those questionable new jumpers and dance away those excess cold cuts with us til the small hours - we're back and we mean business!

BREAKING NEWS: though we vowed never to be "those guys", we can confirm that the lovely people at Plan B (Basement) have allowed us to host 2-for-1 HAPPY HOUR from 10pm through til 11pm. The early bird catches the Brahma!

PARDON MY FRENCH
Pardon My French are a duo of Bristol based beat obsessives who spin House, Disco and intuitively delve into the aforementioned genres’ deep, tech, italo and slow jam variations. They’ve been mates since childhood and after forming PMF in 2009, the demand for their sets has taken them to clubnights and festivals all over the UK and abroad. In the early days, Pardon My French functioned as DJs for a day time radio show with a zero tolerance policy on dirty talk - it wasn’t going to be a smoothest beginning for these miscreants, but from their incessant obligation to excuse their language, a pretty catchy moniker was hatched. After successfully founding their own Club Cosmique night in their native Bristol, playing host to the likes of Bicep, Azari & III, Space Dimension Controller, Dam Funk and Tim Sweeney, it wasn't long before seminal London radio station Kiss FM came calling to offer les lads a weekly Friday night residency. With their etoile certainly rising, we're delighted to have Pardon My French down for Christmas with us and can't wait to see what these stellar selectors bring for us in their stuffed musical stockings.

LEMMY ASHTON
Skilfully riding the crest of a disco wave towards glamourous hi-fi stardom, savvy London muso Liam "Lemmy" Ashton has already drawn up an enviable rap sheet of high profile gigs and residencies that have taken the 23-year-old all over the country. An immensely skilled DJ and operator beginning the intrepid journey into production, funk fanatic Lemmy is known nationwide for his intense, genre-spanning marathon sets that gleefully ping across the sonic spectrum - it was such blissful unpredictability that first attracted NVWLS to Lemmy, and as it soon became apparent that the disco devotee possesses a remarkable knack for pushing the envelope when crowdreading we knew we had found our ideal Christmas co-headliner. Get down to Plan B before the Basement roof is raised!

TREBOR
A long time friend of NVWLS since long before we even came into being, Guest Mix contributor and all-round house aficionado Trebor is all set to provide our Christmas blowout with the finest opening set you'll see this year and beyond. With his Origins project reaching greater and greater heights, playing host to the likes of Waze & Odyssey, Ejeca and Kry Wolf at their sold out Bath parties, 2013 also saw Trebor successfully launch his own vision "A Retrospective Of House" alongside his uncle and mentor Robert (geddit?). Entrusted with warm-up duties on the 27th, we at NVWLs can relax safe in the knowledge that even the first beats of the evening are in the safest of hands - the fact that Trebor's set coincides with Happy Hour makes it doubly unmissable.
