After the success 2013 Iris Theatre returns for a 6th year of its celebrated summer season in the gardens of St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. Starting on June 25th, a new outdoor production will be performed ; William Shakespeare’s Richard III, which is on till 25th July.
With the recent discovery of Richard III‘s body under the tarmac of a Leicestershire car park, the story of Richard has never been more prominent in the public imagination. It is therefore a perfect year to present Shakespeare’s Richard; one of his most beguiling and magnetic Kings. In our open-air production England’s War of the Roses will be brought to one of London’s busiest public spaces, and our audiences will be drawn deep into the heart of this dark and dangerous conspiracy.
