Sergey Zakharov (baritone), a legendary Russian star from St. Petersburg is performing a programme of his best love songs. Piano accompaniment is by Alexander Kagan, distinguished artist of Russia.

One of the best Russian voices! A huge name in Russia, and amongst the Russian Community, Sergey Zakharov remains a hidden gem to British audiences. Zakharov has a unique, velveteen baritone voice. His magical appeal has always attracted mass audiences starting from his early years as a leading singer at the St. Petersburg Musical Theatre. He always plays amidst a sea of flowers from admirers. He has been soloist at the State Variety Orchestra under the directorship of Leonid Utesov. In 1996 Zakharov received the most prestigious award as a People’s Artist of Russia.

The forthcoming performance includes a selection of well-loved and timeless Russian and International classics.
