ALICE IN GROOVELAND have been regulars on the London jazz scene since 2011, with ongoing residencies in Soho and Brixton, and are now on the verge of much wider success.

They expanded to a quintet with guitarist David Rollins in Feb 2013, bringing a wider range of composing and arranging possibilities.

The cornerstone of the band’s sound is undoubtedly the outstanding rhythm section, featuring ex-Commitments and Heatwave drummer Nick Bradshaw.

The band plays a ‘sizzling mix’ (Brixton Buzz) of familiar and original material with a focus on solid grooves, a ‘great group sound’ (Jazz News) and punchy solos. Their sound is rooted in the mid to late 60s - think Grant Green, Stanley Turrentine, Herbie Hancock... But the band are no slavish imitators – their original compositions are packed with hooky riffs that you will be humming to yourself days later!
