In a series of painstakingly constructed works using found materials, West London-based artist Chris Kenny examines and muses on the notion of Paradise: our attempt to define it, build it, reach it or perhaps remember it.
Employing text cut from books, map fragments and abandoned landscape paintings, Kenny creates a series of assemblages, stories and collage-constructions. Rearranging the materials into new configurations, he subverts their original meaning to ponder on the theme of heaven and pastoral bliss.
