The work of small, dynamic charities working with disadvantaged and young disabled people is to be celebrated at a star-studded concert at Cadogan Hall in Chelsea, hosted by Miller Philanthropy. The event is in support of The Amber Trust, Only Connect, PIP (Pursuing Independent Paths) and Regenerate. 100% of the ticket price and all of the funds raised will be donated to these charities, who work with young people at the very edge of society who often turn to gangs for a sense of belonging.

Performing at the event on Tuesday 18th March, are semi-finalist of the eight series of X Factor, Misha B and prize winning beat boxer Reeps One, and the musical savant Derek Paravicini
Full line up for the evening:

• Reeps One – Beatbox enigma and Edinburgh Fringe star
• Misha B – Singer, songwriter and rapper. MOBO award nominee for best newcomer after her success on the X Factor
• The Choir with No Name – A powerful choir made up of homeless people
• Derek Paravicini – Derek is the ‘Human iPod’ with the ability to play any song from any genre after hearing it once
• ‘Talent from the streets’ - Each of the charities being supported showcases young people with talent that they have helped to achieve a positive path in life.

• Compere - Tim Walker, better known as The Telegraph's Mandrake

As a result of the growing divide between the ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots,’ and the harsh difficulties that some families face, many young people are desperately seeking a place to belong and consequently join gangs. Too many young lives are blighted by violent crime. Home Office data shows that gang members carry out half of all shootings in the Cities and 22% of all serious violence.

This concert is an opportunity to support these individuals, and break the viscous circle of violence and fear. Recent reports (Metropolitan Police Crime Data) shows that 40% of violent crime is gang related.

Julie Etchingham, presenter of ITV News at Ten and current affairs programme Tonight says, “This concert is a wonderful opportunity to embrace and support some of the most marginalised young people in our society, and the charities who work so hard to help them.

“Many of those performing in the concert are tackling challenges few of us will ever face, but they're coming together in a burst of creativity and hope. With every penny going to the charities, it promises to be an evening not only of great entertainment, but with a truly lasting impact on lives affected by disability and disadvantage."

Gina Miller, founder of Miller Philanthropy says, “I believe it is crucial that we fund and support those who are seeking to understand and tackle the challenges faced by those at the very edges of society. We want to work with charities succeeding in reducing gang-related crime and stopping young people becoming involved in violence.
I am passionate in my belief that no one charity can own these issues and that we must work together to make our communities safer places for everyone. This concert is an opportunity to celebrate and support those incredible people doing this gritty work at the coalface of deprivation.'
“We invite people to join us – laugh with us, sing with us, even cry with us - because Hope can Spring if we come together as a Gang for Good.”
