Two soldiers serve in wars 100 years and over 3,000 miles apart: The Belgian battlefields of the Great War and the streets of present day Kabul.
As we approach the centenary of World War 1 and the withdrawal of UK troops from Afghanistan, Lindsey Butcher's Gravity and Levity collaborates with director/choreographer Darshan Singh Bhuller and BBC Afghanistan Correspondent David Lyon to portray intimate images of endurance, grief, humour and hope.
Six aerialists and dancers combine their rich visual language with music, film and news commentary to reveal the ugly truths and unexpected beauty of living and loving through conflicts, then and now.
