Volta Vol. 1

PHAZZ:
The French artist compiles an eclectic collection of stirring tracks, each with its own identity & unique vibe attentively created & arranged to depict the story of Phazz's inspired production, motivated by a love of piano from an early age.
Already supported by Plastician in his show on Rinse FM, Kastle or even BBC Radio 1, the Lyon based producer is driven by creating contemporary music. His sounds belong as much in the club as they do in the bedroom, oozing with that sexual energy and romantic swagger that made so many of us fall in love with R&B in the early 00s.

THE NINETYS:
Straight out of London, Jordan Pryce – Royal, aka The Ninetys, has been smashing speaker systems up and down the country through his years of experience. Kick starting his career predominantly producing hip-hop, The Ninetys quickly made an impact on the underground Rap scene, producing beats for major artists like Gigg’s and SAS. The Ninetys harboured a natural drumming talent into resounding hip-hop & bass rhythms, naturally building a credible fan base over a short period of time with his distinguished sound. The Ninetys EP (released 7.10.13) is a true testament to the Londoner's talent, a versatile compilation of tracks displaying an array of styles from slow chilled vibes to club shaking anthems.

DAKTYL:
Daktyl uses his multi-instrumentalist talents and diverse musical background to make interesting beat driven grooves of a new future sound, merging Hip-hop, Soul, Garage and Bass. Producers to be found playing on his set list range from talents such as Frank Ocean, house sensations such as Justin Martin, and beatsmith accomplice The Ninetys.

2013 was undoubtedly a huge year for Daktyl with his release on The Playground, 101, gaining support from all sides of the musical spectrum, including Radio 1, Rinse FM and Plastician. He was also invited to play all over the UK supporting acts like XXYYXX, Artful Dodger, Lunice and Baauer, and closed The Bloody Beetroots in the main room at Koko in March.

With his new EP, Chase Road, just released on Cosmonostro, and a very recent signing to the Elastic Artists booking agency (who look after the one and only Flying Lotus), 2014 is set to be an even bigger year for this immensely talented young producer.

COMPLEXION:
Since starting the Future Beats show on West Side FM, Complexion has risen to be one of the most respected DJs pushing beat music and future RnB in the musical universe. With support from Soulection, Plastician, Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1, expect big things from Complexion, and a tantalising set full of space age love songs that's guaranteed to get you vibing.

MAXX BAER:
Bristol is continually proving to be the breading ground for exceptional producers and beat maker’s, there is no exception here when it comes to Maxx Baer. Playing in many bands at a young age, he has been the catalyst for his exceptional skills behind the buttons in the studio. At the age of 20 he traded the instruments for electronic gear after being introduced to an Erol Alkan mixtape. The pulse resonated so deep that he spent the following summer learning to DJ whilst listening to the likes of Justice, 2ManyDJs and Simian Mobile Disco.

Fast-forward to 2013 and over 500 shows playing alongside the likes of Skream, Benga, Zedd, Dillon Francis and Kissy Sellout, Maxx Baer is ready to push his production to the next level. He takes influences from the likes of Baauer, Skream, Bro Safari, Dismantle and Zeds Dead, Joy O, JETS, Machine Drum, XXXY.
