On Easter Sunday April 28th, London's biggest Soulful House night Groove Odyssey celebrates the Bank Holiday weekend with 2 of House music’s iconic and legendary International headliners, Louie Vega (Masters At Work/Elements Of Life/Vega Records), and the renowned artist Josh Milan (Blaze/Elements of Life/Honeycomb) live on stage and both flying in for Exclusive sets at London's world famous Ministry Of Sound. Groove Odyssey:House Legends brings together the musical strands of house music and the soulful side of the capital with 4 rooms of sounds, and delivering one of the rarest line ups across the Bank Holiday weekend

Headlining the Main Room is the undisputed heavyweight of soulful house music, Louie Vega (Masters At Work//Elements Of Life/Vega Records), stacked with hot music from the recent Miami WMC and his new Elements Of Life ‘Eclipse’ album that’s due for release on Fania Records in March. Constantly reinventing himself and revolutionizing music itself in the process, Louie Vega has crafted some of the most innovative singles in dance music history (“The Nervous Track”, “It’s Alright (I Feel It)” and “ICan’t Get No Sleep”, kick started genres like soulful house (“Beautiful People,” “I Get Lifted”), and revitalized the careers of legends like Roy Ayers, George Benson and Tito Puente with his Masters At Work partnership with Kenny Dope Gonzalez. On the decks he defiantly mixes everything he can find – house, hip-hop, funk, disco, Latin, African and jazz – into a universal groove that changes how we enjoy dance music.

Joining Louie in the Main Room, Groove Odyssey welcomes a rare UK appearance and debut show from the incredible Josh Milan, performing a very special PA of Blaze classics including ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, ‘Found Love’ and ‘If You Should Need A Friend’ as well as some new songs. Hugely prolific and influential, Blaze were one of the main stays of the New York soulful house music scene, crafting some of the most beautiful dance records ever created, which were hugely inspirational and which have now stood the test of time head and shoulders above many of their peers. With a huge catalogue of hits, Josh as part of Blaze Productions has produced over 150 songs - the most to have been recorded in the field of house music, including worldwide hits such as De’Lacy’s ‘Hideaway’ and Barbara Tucker’s ‘Most Precious Love” amongst their huge array of Blaze classics, as well as remixing Lisa Stansfield and Jamiroquai. . A truly unique and original vocal star, expect to blown away by Josh’s emotive Live performance.

Representing the UK is Bristol’s finest Sean McCabe, currently hot with his new ‘With All My Might’ song with Kenny Bobien, and Groove Odyssey residents Bobby & Steve complete the Main Room line up.

One half of the newly re-formed Masters At Work, Louie Vega, can be found behind the decks of some of the globe’s most beautiful clubs and festivals, including summer residencies in the pleasure-seeking locations of Ibiza, Italy and Greece. Hotly anticipated, his live band, Elements of Life have just released their new ‘Eclipse’ album on NYC’s legendary Fania Records label, which sees Louie reach new heights of creativity with this diverse vocal and instrumental piece

As part of Masters At Work, the legendary NYC DJ & Production duo of Louie Vega and Kenny ‘Dope” Gonzalez, Louie has for over a decade shepherded dance music down new paths with their inventive production style and imaginative feel for different musical forms. The two native New Yorkers have amassed an overwhelming body of work, one that includes hundreds of original productions, remixes and side projects, redefining the way we think of music in clubs. Vega and Gonzalez defiantly mix everything they can find – house, hip-hop, funk, disco, Latin, African and jazz – into a universal groove. And in doing so, MAW has become a cultural mélange unto itself, emblematic of the multicultural society in which we live.

Room 103 will be in full swing with classic house gems fired up by Rhemi Music’s Neil Pierce headlining alongside Kane FM’s Jazzy M (an original Ministry resident from back in the day), Martin Lodge, Funkie P and DJ Leo.

The Baby Box delivers a bubblin’ room of 80's & 90’s Soul, R n’ B and Boogie classics headlined by Urban Essentials main man, DJ Bigger whilst in The Loft, leading radio station Housefm.Net DJs play the best in Deep House sounds.
