Do you have stories or mementos from the Great War? In association with Age Exchange, Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice on Bostall Hill, Abbey Wood is hosting a public Open Day at the Hospice on Wednesday, 9 April between 11am and 4pm for Children of the Great War – a London-wide reminiscence and creative arts project.
The focus of the project will be on memories and experiences of the Great War passed down through families and across communities.
Members of the public are invited to share their unique family story, passed down through generations.
Stories will be recorded and may become part of a touring exhibition and theatre production, and will contribute to an international archive that commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War in 2014.
Booking essential. To book a slot and/or for more information, please contact the Volunteers Department at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice on 020 8320 5812 or email [email protected].
