CBx breakfast sessions are short, sharp discussions of cross-sector issues with recognised practitioners in the field. Speakers will come from aross the built lifecycle sector to provide industry, academia and government perspectives on each subject, helping to raise challenges and enable an open discussion around the solutions.

This session explores how the provision of energy audits can identify opportunities for substantial savings supported by the introduction of audits from the Energy Efficiency Directive, mandated for large companies and voluntary for smaller organisations. The data produced from robust audits can greatly improve the performance of existing buildings, but also provide valuable feedback to improve the design of new or refurbished premises. Our panel of experts will debate the values of the current energy audit process, validation of data and industry best practice.

Speakers include:
Alan Hale – National Facilities Technical Advisor for the Environment Agency
Ed Horgan – Director at Briars Associates
Mitchell Layng – Associate Director at M&G Real Estate

CBx events provide cross-collaborative discussions, enabling members to gain inside knowledge and a unique understanding of how different sectors perceive barriers and solutions to specific energy performance issues. Each event includes breakfast, and time to network with peers, thought leaders and prospective clients.
