Performers Corinne Morris (cello) and Nico de Villiers (piano) perform at The Forge in London on Tuesday 8th April at 7:30pm.

Celebrating the centenary of legendary French cellist Paul Tortelier, the 150th anniversary of Strauss, and their artistic collaboration, Corinne Morris will be performing a programme of lesser-known cello greats close to her heart, including a UK premiere of Borenstein’s Soliloquy.

Morris, who was mentored by Tortelier himself and was taught by his disciple Raphael Sommer, is celebrating her UK-comeback after serious injury.

This concert is very generously being sponsored by Hope & Chance, and proceeds will be going towards helping disabled children in the Chernobyl area.

PROGRAMME
Beethoven - Variations "Judas Maccabaeus" Woo45
Strauss - Sonata Op 6
Borenstein - Soliloquy for solo cello (UK premiere)
Schumann - 5 stücke im Volkston
Martinu Variations on a Theme by Rossini
