‘Meet My World’ – Amantani and Andina present a multimedia exhibition

London film event created by Amantani (6th/7th May 2014) where 12 Peruvian children have come together with a renowned filmmaker to create 12 short films, each one presenting a traditional skill from the Andes in the form of a lesson.

Hosted in Westminster’s Millbank Media centre, Amantani has partnered up with celebrity chef Martin Morales’ ‘Andina’ Peruvian restaurant to create a unique Andean experience, supplying his own take on a number of the films shown recipes for the attendants to sample during the course of the evening.

The aim of the event is for the selected 12 children to teach us what they know about their culture and lifestyle, ranging from lessons on how to catch a fish with your bare hands, to using plants as medicine. An all round indigenous Andean exhibition!

The idea is simple; the more people that learn from the films the prouder the children will be of their culture and of themselves, a mission for self-esteem.
