Oktoberfest

The London Oktoberfest is a commercial event being held in Millwall Park on the 2nd - 5th and again from 9th - 12th of October (with a small fee Saturday). With a 3,300 person capacity, this mid-sized festival is one that we hope to make a recurring event which brings a friendly Bavarian party to Tower Hamlets and the rest of London each year.

London Oktoberfest’s goal is to bring Bavarian culture and fun to London. Our event allows patrons the opportunity to experience a new culture from the comfort of their home town. Starting with the construction of a 3,800 m2 tent, a Bavarian beer hall will be recreated in Millwall Park of the Tower Hamlets Borough. To successfully capture the spirit of Munich, the tent is decorated in the signature blue and white of the Bavarian flag. Visitors will be served imported German beer and food (including sausages and sauerkraut) by wait staff dressed in dirndls and lederhosen. The band (coming from Germany as well) will complete the effect with traditional and contemporary German music, mixed with some British pop music.
