Arun Ghosh Spitalfields Suite (world premiere)

Inspired by Spitalfields’s history of immigration, clarinettist and composer Arun Ghosh intertwines the experiences of the area’s migrant communities – from the Huguenots to the present day – with traditional melodies, found sounds, jazz and folk styles for his first Associate Artist event. Spitalfields Suite weaves together the past and present of this ever-changing area in a bittersweet symphonic poem of trials and triumphs.
