Afroretro Upcycle Ya Life: Customise A T-shirt

Join AFRORETRO; British Ugandan sisters Anna & Lilly for an evening of UpCycling and crafting - African style! Turn an old unwanted T-shirt into a statement fashion item to rock out just in time for the summer sun. Weave stunning African Wax printed fabric weaved into your old tee to give it a new edge.

You will be treated to tea or coffee and scrummy homemade cake. Learn exactly what UpCycling is - from how we do it here, to the UpCycle Kings and Queens of Africa. Pick up some British & Ugandan weaving patterns and some good old fashion hand sewing techniques.

You will leave with a beautiful statement top with a weaved feature pattern. Some renegade sewing techniques, a handy guide to remind you of your new skills and a little bit of Africa in your soul.

We want you to rock your UpCycled T-shirt with confidence, please bring an old t-shirt or top that fits you. Don’t worry we will have a selection on the day if you haven’t got one and also provide everything else you need.

Places are limited to 12 per session in order to give each crafter personal attention so book early to avoid disappointment.
