Fini Bearman is a London based singer, songwriter and composer whose music melds influences as diverse as Brazilian, Western Classical, modern jazz and contemporary music into an arresting and uniquely personal sound. Since releasing her debut album 'Step Up' in 2011, Fini has been a busy presence on the London scene, performing with a variety of ensembles and working on various projects, including sharing the stage with the likes of Bobby McFerrin, Christine Tobin, Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw & Mica Paris. Fini is currently preparing for the release of her second album 'Porgy & Bess Revisited'; exploring fresh and original arrangements of songs from the eponymous Gershwin opera, re-worked in a jazz-infused-blues setting, due out on F-ire Records this summer. For this 606 lunchtime performance, Fini presents her brand new project exploring some of the most evocative and heart breaking love songs from Brazil’s best loved songwriter, Antonio Carlos Jobim. Featuring favourites and lesser-known gems, she will perform these songs with a stellar line-up including pianist Tom Hewson, bassist Jon Cox and drummer Jon Scott.
