Roy's People: Street Life is a playful exhibition from new urban artist Roy Tyson. Street Life will be the first UK solo show from Roy's People.

Roy specialises in creating unique images and installations using meticulously hand painted miniature figures. Showcasing his surrealist figures with a humorous edge, Roy's People: Street Life presents an alternative and light hearted approach to art.

A self taught artist, Roy Tyson decided to launch his little people into the world after becoming inspired two years ago by a photography project based on the tiny world represented by a miniature train set.

Roy began imagining a sub-world for his little people to exist in. Then, taking inspiration from the news and popular culture, Tyson began creating parodies by using real-world events and placing his miniatures within them. Roy's People: Street Life is a culmination of his work, resulting in an exhibition that is both humorous ans thought-provoking.

A highlight of the show will be Roy's striking taxidermy butterflies, flown in a park by miniature humans; each scene presents us with tender moment.
