Spoken Word Evening Showcase

Young people from diverse communities will be given a platform to showcase what they have learnt at the Jamaican Business Language and Marketing workshops, held at Rich Mix from 7th-16th April. After presentations and training are given by key business leaders, such as Levi Roots(Dragon’s Den)and workshop leaders, volunteers will take part in producing short promo videos, posters and leaflet designs and explore how Jamaican patois and music can be used to promote & market Jamaican business.

The Evening Showcase promises to be an exciting, free live event that will feature large-screen promotional videos and spoken word performances centred on Jamaican dialect and compelling imagery created by Jamaica Hidden Histories volunteers. There will be a special guest performance from Freddie Notes, who will take us through a fantastic Jamaican musical journey spanning 70 years.
