VCR 1st Birthday

VCR - Brixton’s only VJ night - is about to celebrate a year of hosting parties using sounds and moving images. For the past year, VCR’s residents Tom Central and BRXTNFNK have been digging through the best new music and trawling the net for the most eye-popping videos to bring to Electric Social. For the 1st birthday VCR has brought together their favourite DJs of the moment and a bonafide pioneer in VJing for two floors of madness at Electric Social.

Robin Hexstatic recently slayed the Solid Steel 25th Anniversary party at Fire in Vauxhall with his Clink mix. He’s now rebooted the mix and will be debuting it as an Audio Visual dancefloor spectacular

Mr Beatnick has a varied but club-focused palette. With a trio of EPs resulting in the Synthetes trilogy on Don’t Be Afraid, a regular show on NTS Radio, a regular fixture at Corsica Studios and appearances on Boiler Room and Sonar.

Josey Rebelle has also caught the attention of Boiler Room, appearing recently with an awesome Jungle set. Josey brings genre-hopping sets of soul, disco, boogie, house, UKG and much much more.

LPZ are a trio of DJs and producers with a recent tour and prestigious live set at Panorama Bar in Berghain, LPZ bring the heads-down dancefloor business.

Mach V will be providing visuals on the night for our DJs. He has VJed for numerous DJs and bands and right now he VJs at Digital City and Disco Shed and is the silent member of Echaskech

The 1st Birthday line up is completed by the boys who set it up and resident VJs, Tom Central & BRXTNFNK. Tom co-runs Keep Up! Records and is resident DJ for Soundcrash. BRXTNFNK is - as the name suggests - Brixton’s hardest working and funkiest jock on the block.
