Federation of Reggae Music (FORM) UK and Brent Council Reggae Focus
''Sounds of Jamaica'' honours Liz Mitchell of Reggae Disco super group Boney M with a prestigious Heritage Blue Plaque Award Ceremony. This takes place at 8 Wrotessley Road, Harlesden NW10 5YL Councillor Bobby Thomas the Mayor of Brent joins celebrities in the areas of Sport, Music, Film and Media and Brent residents in this historic event. There have been two other Blue Plaques installed and unveiled in Brent for Reggae legends Bob Marley & The Wailers and Dennis Brown. A Reception will be held at St Marks Church Hall Bathurst Gardens NW10 with music and African-Caribbean Food and refreshments. The FORM UK Brent Council Blue Plaques Scheme is just one element in a series of activities and events to celebrate Reggae's contribution to music and popular culture in Britain.
