with Niamh Cusack and Sabine Haudepin | directed by Solvène Tiffou | running time: 70 mins | in French and in English

Too much football this year? Yearning for something slightly more… bookish? Then join us! French versus English: this relationship has been troubling us since the dawn of time. In the matter of war, women, customs, food and all… What do we think about them? What do they think about us? How does this eternal confrontation define our identities? Sabine Haudepin and Niamh Cusack, two outstanding actors from either side of the Channel, will be hopping across centuries and literary genres to interpret this compulsive relationship.
An evening of readings, songs, quarrels, punches… Voltaire & Samuel Pepys, Shakespeare & Molière, Prévert & Byron? All are invited to meet and collide at the Institut français.

Join us after the play at the Bistrot and bring your favourite literary piece. Share it with the enemy and toast to the entente cordiale!

£20, members £18, students £12, including a glass of wine at the Bistrot after the show
