HE WHO SAW EVERYTHING
Zoukak

A theatre investigation on death, the value of life, and new forms of quests for immortality in contemporary societies. The piece springs from a need to address the current political situation in our region where new paradigms of relationships to death are forming. At an age when mass death is being used as a tool of leverage in the media between fighting fractions, the simple death, the non-heroic or non-epic death of the individual is demystified and is replaced by the death of the immortal.

This is a devised ‘scratch’ performance using documentary and autobiographical material to create original texts based on the Epic of Gilgamesh and other writings (Barker, Darwish, Artaud, Duras…).

A SUMMARY OF SEX
Gehring & Ketelaars

Growing up, the only thing Gehring & Ketelaars learned about sex was what kind of diseases one can get, and how to say no. For their new performance A Summary Of Sex they will research sexual disorders and pleasures. They will embrace true intimacy and become 'alpha-women' whilst trying to find out why porn is arousing, and why the public image of sex is either shameful or impersonal, and nothing in between.

During their residency Gehring & Ketelaars will research these matters in an effort to get rid of the undifferentiated education the western world gives her inhabitants.
