Richard Herring is a comedy legend, and probably the most prolific comic in Britain.

Along with Stewart Lee, he wrote for Radio 4's One the Hour (later transferred to TV as The Day Today) with Chris Morris, Armando Iannucci and Steve Coogan. They also wrote and starred in two cult BBC2 series - Fist of Fun and This Morning with Richard, Not Judy. They also appeared in a Doctor Who webcast play in 2002.

As a stand-up, he is a mainstay of the Edinburgh Fringe, with shows such as Talking Cock, Someone Likes Yoghurt, The Headmaster's Son, Christ on a Bike, Menage a Un, Hitler Moustache, What is Love Anyway? and We're All Going to Die winning him rave revues and the title "King of Edinburgh".

He co-wrote Time Gentleman Please for Sky with Al Murray and script edited the third series of Little Britain.

He is a Sony Award winning podcaster for his Leicester Square Theatre Podcast. Other podcasts include the Collings and Herrin podcast with Andrew Collins, As It Occurs to Me, and The Meaning of Life. With Collins he hosted the Saturday morning show on 6 Music for over a year.

He writes a weekly column for the Metro, and has written the books How Not to Grow Up and Talking Cock.

He has appeared on Have I Got News For You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Charlie Brooker's You Have Been Watching. Oh.. and Games Master, Celebrity Pointless and Celebrity Mastermind.

He is a dedicated supporter of the charity Scope raising donations at all of his shows.

A bit of a comedy behemoth, basically...
