Coppa Rooftop Bar

COPPA - the Southern Italian sibling of LARDO - will re-open in London’s E8 neighbourhood for the summer months on Saturday 24th May. Filled with brightly coloured beach capannas, guests will be able to feast, sit on deckchairs, sip on cocktails and enjoy snacks from the bar.

Offering a bird’s eye view over London Fields, COPPA will serve up a Southern Italian inspired menu, transporting visitors to a storybook Italian beach holiday from a bygone era. Situated on the rooftop of the Hothouse building, COPPA can hold up to 200 people, making it one of the largest open-air dining rooms in London.

Opening officially on 24th May and trading every weekend of summer until late September, this will be the place to spend weekend days and nights. Christian Angius, Head Chef (Ex L’anima, and LARDO), has created a special Brunch menu and will also be serving LARDO’s signature charcuterie made from the rare breed Mangalitza pig, along with a selection of antipasti such as Fennel and Orange salad, Panzanella, Insalata Genovese and Patatine Fritte. The BBQ will be fired up each day to serve the quintessentially Italian “Rosticceria” - free-range chicken served either ‘Nduja-marinated or seasoned with rosemary & lemon and served with a choice of salad.

Drinks will be served cold, and some especially so – COPPA will have the granite machines churning out some refreshingly icy drinks. House developed cordials, and boozy concoctions will make the experience all the more enjoyable with drinks such as a new Amaro (a bitter Italian herbal liqueur) developed by StellaCello used in COPPA’s special Negroni Sbagliato. The classic ‘StellaSpritz’ will be back and the ‘Boozy Chinotto’ will reappear as the drink of choice for those who prefer an alternative to prosecco.
