Janice Liverseidge leads a walking tour, Hogarth & Eighteenth century London.

Meeting at Holborn tube station, Kingsway exit.

Janice says: ‘This walk provides an opportunity to spot the settings of some of Hogarth’s paintings, see the site of the Lincoln Inn’s Fields Theatre where Handel staged several operas, and discover the story of an eccentric supporter of the Foundling Hospital. Along the way we notice connections with the city’s medical advances, taking in the history of the first children’s hospital, and the site of renowned physician Dr Richard Mead’s home, ending our tour at the Foundling Museum'.
