Folk at the Foundling: Sam Carter

Sam Carter’s original songwriting is infused with shapenote, gospel and work song and delivered with simple, rich vocal performances and deft fingerpicking guitar-style. Carter returns from a British Council and Tehzeeb Foundation-funded project in Pakistan, following two critically acclaimed albums, and gigs with the likes of Martin Carthy, Nic Jones and Richard Thompson.
