PINT OF SCIENCE is back in 2014 with approximately 270 scientists - including Professor Lord Robert Winston, Baroness Susan Greenfield, and Dr Lucie Green - swopping petri dishes for pints and sharing their research with the public in 44 pubs across the UK and internationally.

There will be 4 different themes:

• Matters of the Mind – What impact are modern technologies having on our brain? Can we use psychedelic drugs to treat psychiatric disorders?

• Our Body – Should we be able to design our babies? What has the most influence in modifying our body: attitude or diet?

• Chemistry & Physics – What is so important about the water on Mars? How is nanotechnology influencing our lives?

• Planet Earth – How do you survive, and do research, in the Antarctic? Can massive earthquakes occur without us knowing?

The festival will take place in 16 different venues across London, hosting talks from over 30 speakers every evening for the three nights. In total we intend to have 300 talks across the festival and expect to host about 10,000 attendees.
