Sean Scully: Kind of Red

Timothy Taylor Gallery is proud to announce Sean Scully's first solo show of new work in the UK since 2010, on display from 11 June to 12 July 2014. Having been elected a Royal Academician in 2013, Scully returns to London with paintings that are monumental in scale and ambition, demonstrating a mature confidence and an unwavering drive for experimentation. The focal point of the exhibition is a 5 panel installation entitled Kind of Red, influenced by Miles Davis' seminal 1959 album Kind of Blue. In a career spanning over 4 decades, Sean Scully has gained international prominence as one of the most significant contemporary abstract painters working today.
