As part of the 100 year anniversary of the ‘Great War’ Natural Voices choir in assosiation with shapeshifter productions, have arranged a concert about War and Peace on 13th July 2014 at Walthamstow Assembly Hall from 4:30pm to 7pm. We hope to encapsulate the memory of the war effort both in terms of the music performed and also in the fact that, like in war times, we have managed to band together a 100 strong choir (aged 7-86) from Walthamstow and Redbridge and all volunteering their time, acoustic Orchestra, Jazz band and West End Stars to ensure that no one ever forgets, no matter what generation they are. There will be great songs of wartime, friendship and peace. Rock, gospel, pop, soul, classics and jazz.

We will be preforming a range of songs, some war time favourites like ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’ and ‘Bugle Boy of Company B’ and good feel good songs from allied countries who aided the war effort by exporting to the UK, such as Sweden (Abba) and a range of songs about peace and love such as ‘Deep Peace’ and ‘Imagine’. We will also be doing a poppy parade to the song ‘Adiemus’.
