This July, BurntOut Theatre will perform Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado about Nothing’ in Russell Square, as part of the RADA Festival 2014.

After the success of their double bill of ‘As You Like It’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in 2013, BurntOut Theatre will return to Russell Square this summer with Shakespeare’s romantic comedy set in the roaring 1920s.

Audiences will be invited to don their best vintage attire and picnic with Benedick, Beatrice and the bright young things of Lady Leonata’s London, accompanied by a live swing band and original music by upcoming composer James Reynolds.

BurntOut Theatre is a young Surrey-based company specialising in creating vibrant open-air Shakespeare productions whilst raising money for charities. In 2014, the company will be fundraising for Disability Challengers and the MS Society.

Having performed at the RADA Festival in 2013, the prestigious drama school described the event as “A magical journey through Russell Square”, and Brigid Panet, RADA director, said “The show has energy, pace, warmth…audiences will love every minute”.

The show was also reviewed by the BBC’s Radio Times, describing it as “Truly magical”, and Roger Pringle, former Director of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust described the production as “Enchanting”.

The company’s 2013 production was awarded a 4-star review from Everything Theatre.com, commenting that it was “Easily the most age-accessible Shakespeare I’ve watched with adults and children alike in hoots of laughter…”

Book tickets online or in person on the day.
