Art and love fall apart for a famous writer, a fading actress and a love-sick playwright. In 1981 Tennessee Williams was commissioned to write a play by the Vancouver Playhouse. He chose to create a version of Chekhov's 'The Seagull' which opened just 14 months before his death.
Rebecca Frecknall is Staff Director at the National Theatre where she has recently worked on 'From Morning to Midnight' with Melly Still. In 2013 she directed 'Bassett' by James Graham for Mountview.
