Wallace Sewell is one of the UK’s best-loved woven textile design studios. Led by Royal College of Art graduates Harriet Wallace-Jones and Emma Sewell, Wallace Sewell is known for creating innovative woven fabrics, upholstery for London Transport, individual architectural commissions and colourful scarves.

Inspired by the Fashion and Textile Museum brief to design a rebozo for the Made in Mexico exhibition, Emma Sewell joins the exhibition curator to discuss the studio’s approach to colour, collaboration, and creating textiles for fashion and furnishings in the 21st century.

The Museum team will be available during the evening to discuss teaching and workshop ideas inspired by the Made in Mexico exhibition.

While the event is aimed at inspiring teachers, in particular those responsible for art and design in schools, it is open to everyone.
