Fashion Styling

Whether you’re an aspiring stylist, costume designer, fashion photographer or are simply wanting to reinvent your look, this course is for you.

Learn to interpret style and create individual looks; for the high street, fashion collections and even photography or film shoots.

In these hands-on workshops, you will begin to explore how to illustrate style, discover genres of style and put it into practice. All of our Fashion Stylists are experienced professionals from the industry; and have worked on exciting projects such as Fashion Week, magazine shoots, catwalks and theatre productions.

If you’d like to discover how to interpret trends, update your look and a classic, timeless style, this course is for you.

Our Fashion Styling course is ideal for those with a little or no experience in styling, or those who want to refresh technique. Exact course content may differ, but topics covered generally include:
- Body shape and techniques to complement
- Interpreting current trends, magazine interpretation and trend forecasting
- Classic timeless style
- Creating mood boards
- Hands on approach to putting garments together, creating a unique style

Something to think about: Course Materials
As with any Art & Design courses, there will be a few items you need to bring with you to the classes. Please bring a compact or SLR camera to document the day, pencils, pens, glue/seloptape and a sketchbook.

A suitcase of garments to include:

- A work/interview outfit, a party/night-out outfit, a casual outfit, and some of your favourite and special garments
- A pair of trousers, skirt, T-shirt, jumper, coat, dress, cardigan, pair of socks, pair of high heels, pair of boots, pair of trainers, waist belt, hip belt, tie, silk scarf, wooley scarf, necklace, a ring, a pair of earrings.
