Miriam Nerval (recorders) takes us on a historical journey of the instrument from Dowland, Purcell and Sammartini through to the 20th Century Stravinsky in the intimate and beautiful setting of the Musicians’ Church (St Sepulchre without Newgate).
This will be paired with the fascinating history of the Recorder of London, as told by the current Recorder HH Judge Brian Barker QC, and its relationship within the Old Bailey.
The concert will be followed by a drinks and canapé reception in the Grand Hall of the Old Bailey.
Guided tours of Court One will be available and an encore will be performed by Miriam under the dome of the Grand Hall.
