A night of rare roots reggae with special guest selector Dennis Bovell, spinning an exclusive dub plate selection, alongside the night s regular host, DJ David Katz. One of the leading lights of the UK reggae scene for several decades, Barbados-born Dennis is a true reggae renaissance man. Bovell spearheaded the lover s rock genre from his time at DIP Records and made some of the hardest dubs ever issued in Britain.
And, in addition to being Linton Kwesi Johnson s bandleader since the late 70s, Bovell went on to work with Fela Kuti, the Slits, Alpha Blondy, and many, many more.
