This year’s Sumo Run, an annual 5km charity fun run around Battersea Park, London is taking place on Sunday, 27th July.
Hundreds of runners will run, jog, walk or wobble the 5km course in giant inflatable Sumo suits!
The event previously set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people running in Sumo Suits and is London’s most unique running event. Entrants should expect to look silly and laugh a lot, and in doing so, raise money for Link Community Development International! Even if you don’t want to take part, come along and cheer your local race for one of the silliest days out around!
Pre-race prep:
• The course is a nice, green, flat 5km (about 3 miles)
• Make sure to register online at www.sumorun.com before 27th June to avoid missing out
• Registration is £33 per person – which includes your Sumo suit! The minimum fundraising amount is £150
• Self funding participants can register for £67 with no minimum fundraising amount
• Last-minute registration is also possible after 27th June (£39 or £75 self-funding)
