A feast of Russian music inspired by the famous ‘White Nights’ Festival in St Petersburg, where for two months at the height of summer the sun never fully sets and the city is filled with a spectacular extravaganza of the arts. Our own celebration of Russian music and culture will rove from opera house to cathedral, from concert hall to the open Steppes. Join us for some wonderful Slavic music . . . and a Russian-themed party afterwards!

The programme includes:

Borodin Polovtsian Dances from ‘Prince Igor’
Tchaikovsky ‘Legend’ (The Crown of Roses)
Stravinsky Ave Maria
Rachmaninov Bogoroditse Dyevo (from the All-Night Vigil)
Tchaikovsky Waltz Scene from ‘Eugene Onegin’

David Elwin will be on the piano and the concert will be conducted by Aidan Oliver
