Detailed Description

Monika is a emerging Indian artist and a fashionista. Her style is characterized by vibrant concoctions of bold, colourful and unique subjects. Her distinctive treatment to universal subjects brings out boldness, almost up to defiance.

Creations extend from a fantasy world of under water, to distinct themes around liquor, fashion geometry, masks, language of signs. Her roots lie in India, where she has been creating exclusive designs and patterns in contemporary Indian ethnic arena for more than 10 years.

Based in London, she is the creative drive behind Monaara, which is manifestation of her original contemporary artwork into a unique and immersive, yet confident wearable experience.

Media manifestations vary across oil, pastels and digital. On display will also be some digital imprints on pure silk.

Collections on Display

Mask: We all stay masked, to fool ourselves, to pretend to others. Play it for defense or offense or just fun, your choice. Masks can be imposed or prescribed, can be groomed from or coaxed into. Some are for just the evening and others are forever. Traditional or contemporary, keep evolving. Masking is manifestation the accomplished, the adaptable, the multifaceted. If looks can be deceiving then masks are stockade for the illusionist in us!

Aqua: Marine life represents a vibrant colour palette with reds, blues, greens and glare poster paints. Calm and exploratory nature has long kept city dwellers surprised yet inspired. The reflection and refraction of light from some of these vibrant attitudes and colours creates unique opportunities ready to be attempted. These designs are also remnants of the pristine marine life and keeps bringing us back to the timeless moments we have had

Fashion Geometry: Shapes and Sizes continue to bother fashion designers. Endless moments are spent in illustrating and visualizing designs that signify unique characteristics shapes bring in.

Liquor: This collection is a tribute to folklore cultivating the best of dose from across the world and the flora and engulfing habitat that forms the basis of heady experience civilizations have continued to savour.

Bliss: Celebration of different flavors of a blissful feminine existence. Gorgeous ride with flowery flowing damsel, mermaid fashionara and a calmed Indian lady. Our creator has attempted to illustrate what a women represents with a multitude of vibrant and colorful elements.
