Weekly Open Mic Night

Barking's only regular, well-established, open mic night takes place every Wednesday at the Spotted Dog in Barking. Resident house band the Escondidos, featuring Chris, Ed and Ed (after all 2 Ed's are better than one) set up the P.A. and provide a basic selection of musical instruments, such as bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and mics.

Chris acts as mein host and welcomes soloists and bands of all types. The loyal audience consists of mixed ages and tastes, so all are welcome to give it a try regardless of experience.

Not sure of the words - print them out and bring them along. Want a backing band - No problem, the Escondidos are at your disposal. However to be sure they know your songs, print out the guitar music for them and bring that along too.

It's a free, fun night with a great atmosphere and decent beer. Give it a try.
