If you can’t get tickets to Centre Court or don’t want to queue for Murray Mound, then Granary Square, at the heart of King’s Cross, is the place to watch Wimbledon 2014 this summer. Strawberries and Screen, which saw a crowd of 4,000 pack into Granary Square to watch Andy Murray win Wimbledon last year, is making a winning return.

At four metres by four metres, the screen this summer will be even bigger than last year and one of the biggest in central London. The first 50 or so visitors will be able to grab one of our deck chairs for viewing comfort. Picnics are welcome, but if you don’t have time to put one together, Green and Fortune Café will be serving up sandwiches, jugs of Pimms, beer and soft drinks.

Strawberries and Screen will run from the start of play at Wimbledon on Monday June 23 to the conclusion of the men’s final on Sunday July 26. The screen will be showing the main BBC coverage and will usually be closed at around 8pm, unless a key match is in progress.
