Baron Wolman was Rolling Stone magazine's first commissioned photographer. Sent to cover the Woodstock Festival in 1969 he found himself more fascinated by the crowd than the bands performing. The result was a stunning portfolio of images capturing a moment in cultural history that is yet to be eclipsed. Profiled this week in The Guardian, the photographs had never been published or exhibited before. The images are collected in the accompanying book, Woodstock, published this August by Reel Art Press. Copies will be available at the exhibition which continues until July 8th. Admission is free and all are welcome.
