To mark the International Year of Family Farming, the United Nations and the European Commission Representation in the UK screens The Moo Man. The screening is free of charge and will be followed by a reception.
The Moo Man is a documentary that explores sustainable farming in the UK. In an attempt to save his family farm, Stephen Hook (The Moo Man) decides to turn his back on the cost cutting dairies and supermarkets, and instead stay small and keep his close relationship with his animals. Hook’s plans to save the farm, however, does not always go down well with his 55 spirited
cows. The result is a laugh-out-loud,emotional roller coaster of a journey!
Followed by a Q&A with:
Stephen Hook - The Moo Man
Heike Bachelier - Film Director
Rosie Boycott - Writer, Broadcaster, and Chair of London Food Board
Leonard Mizzi - Head of Unit, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development in the European Commmission
