Canela, a new Portuguese Restaurant and Wine Bar in Seven Dials, is challenging Rosé wine’s often maligned reputation in a special wine tasting evening taking place on Wednesday 16th July.

The perfect summer drink, Rosé has had a bad rap in the wine world and is typically disregarded as sugary, sickly and often drunk by teenage girls before a big night out. Rosé from Portugal especially should not be lumped alongside that 1970s dinner party favourite, Mateus, but instead be celebrated as producing some of the finest Rosé wines in the world. With this wine tasting, Canela aims to dispel any prejudice about Rosé by providing the opportunity for Londoners to taste fine Portuguese wine, and discover that Rosé is for serious wine lovers.
