Alexandra Llewellyn & Miranda Donovan collaboration

Alexander Llewellyn Designs and fine artist Miranda Donovan have collaborated to produce a direct, interdependent piece that brings out the best of both their work; a backgammon board that takes a small detail from one of Miranda’s vast works and plays backdrop to the board, crafted by the artist using resins and mortars.

Not is The Clerkenwell Collection housing one of the collaborative backgammon boards, ‘The Donovan’ for display and sale (with the opportunity to order one of only ten that will be made), but also hosting six of Miranda Donovan’s awe inspiring artworks in the gallery downstairs. For two weeks you will be able to view Miranda’s work in a special setting, taking in her focus on the human condition through a constant investigation of the darker sides of civilisation and its decay. Her work is packed with atmosphere and the aesthetics are superb. In addition to this, Alexandra’s other backgammon boards will be on display, complementing Miranda’s work throughout the store.
