The Bach Choir and baritone Simon Keenlyside present Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’.
The choir performs with one of Britain’s most sought after and charismatic singers for this performance of Mendelssohn’s English language oratorio, depicting scenes from the life of the biblical prophet. Combining elements from the works of Bach and Handel with 19th-century Romanticism and high drama, ‘Elijah’ has an enduring appeal to singers and audiences alike.
Joined by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with soloists soprano Sarah Fox, mezzo soprano Jennifer Johnston and tenor Andrew Tortise, under the baton of conductor David Hill.
