Following the success of last year’s summer screenings, Cinnamon Kitchen is rolling out the red carpet to host another glitzy season of classic films and fantastic food. Executive Chef Vivek Singh’s modern Indian restaurant has teamed up with Picturehouse Cinemas once more to convert its terrace into London’s most exciting outdoor movie theatre – reinventing a food-and-film experience for groups of friends and romantic couples alike. Come rain or shine, the partially al fresco terrace in Devonshire Square makes this one cinematic pop-up the weather can’t dampen!
First up is The Lunch Box, screened on 20th July. Set in Mumbai, this romantic comedy centers around a young woman and an older man who strike up a relationship via notes delivered in the man’s lunch box. On 3rd August take a trip on The Darjeeling Limited, Wes Anderson’s visually stunning film about three brothers’ train journey across India.
Guests are invited to arrive from 8.30pm to enjoy the Picturehouse Punch cocktail, made from Bacardi Rum, pineapple juice, pomegranate syrup and maraschino liqueur. Before the film commences at 9.30pm, each guest can tuck in to their own individual snack tray containing a beef or paneer chilli dog, spicy potato bonda balls and sweet thandi popcorn.
Tickets are £35 per person, which includes the film ticket, welcome cocktail, and food.
