Acclaimed chef Valentine Warner will be hosting an unmissable one-off dining event on 23rd July at the new Notting Hill pop-up from Tom Conran, New Tom’s. Valentine and Head Chef Tom Straker will be combining their talents to create an evening of gastronomic delights.

Guests will begin their evening with a complimentary pink grapefruit and campari cocktail followed by a quick talk from Valentine Warner about the preparation and cooking of the menu. Diners will then enjoy a delicious seasonal four-course menu featuring dishes such as chilled pea and loveage soup, braised lamb neck and lemon and elderflower tart.

Valentine Warner, a former art student, trained in London restaurants for eight years under chefs including, Alastair Little and Rose Carrarini, before setting up his own catering company, Green Pea. In 2008 Valentine burst onto our TV screens presenting his first hit series, What To Eat Now on BBC Two. This then lead to a further TV series, two accompanying books and being dubbed the ‘Russell Brand’ of cooking. Valentine has since gone on to present several other TV shows and writes a regular column for Delicious and Countryfile.

Restaurateur and entrepreneur Tom Conran, in collaboration with talented chef Tom Straker has launched New Tom’s in Notting Hill. Located on the former site of Tom’s Deli in the fashionable end of Westbourne Grove, the 12 month pop-up serves avant-garde modern cuisine in a relaxed and friendly bistro style setting.

New Tom’s floor to ceiling windows flood the welcoming space with bright natural light. Tom Conran’s celebrated father, Sir Terence Conran, has loaned him original works by British pop artists, Eduardo Paolozzi, David Hockney, Richard Smith and Patrick Caufield, which adorn the walls. The addition of a long bar with blue leather padded diner stools, is a great place to stop and sample the new food and vibes at New Tom’s. The playful interior also has a series of 1930’s Parisian metro booth seats running along the wall on the upper level. In the entrance, in a homage to the old shop, New Tom’s retains a traditional British sweet shop, above which a beautiful raised rotunda features a renaissance mural that depicts an Italian Madonna surrounded by a cornucopia of earthly delights depicting labour and love. The garden is being remodeled just in time for summer and has been inspired by the beautiful les Jardins Majorelle in Morocco.
